I cannot change build order in a table animation in Keynote. Is this a bug with Catalina?

Changing build order in Keynote I cannot edit build order. Whenever I try to rearrange build events, it snaps back into numerical order. The most I can do is join two adjacent build events together. Is this by design, or is there any way I can rearrange build order?

Keynote crashes when editing a table cell This is still an ongoing problem. Editing a table cell in Keynote will cause the app to crash. Even minor edits such as changing the color of a gridline can result in an unexpected crash. The only solution/workaround I currently employ is copying my table to Numbers to make any cell, table, or table formatting changes. However, an older thread stated the same table-editing crash occurred in Numbers and Pages as well as Keynote. If anyone has a solution, fix or explanation, it would be very appreciated. M1 Studio/ Ventura 13.4

The only way I get this to work, is do not place data in the cells you want to animate, instead use individual text boxes positioned over the relevant cell and animate the text boxes. You can then reorder the text boxes using the build order list.
