convert Mac address book to a cvs spreadsheet

how do I use the addresses in my Mac contact list to create a cvs spreadsheet? Any answers would be greatly appreciated

Just select the names in the left column of Contacts (or the middle column if you are showing Groups) and drag them into Numbers.

Then in Numbers File > Export to > CSV...
