Pad Pro 12.9-inch (3rd generation) and later and it appears that I have Apple Pencil (1st generation) however it has adapters to charge it. Will this pair with this iPad?

The 2018/2020 models of iPad Pro are not compatible with the first generation Apple Pencil. Instead, you’ll require a second generation Pencil.
