Qi Wireless Charging on iPhone 12

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

• Press and quickly release Volume UP button
• Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
• Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

iOS 14.2 release notes state that it contains a fix for "Devices could be prevented from charging wirelessly". What version of iPhone do you have? I have no issue charging my iPhone 12 Pro with my Belkin Qi charger.

Did you check to make sure that your iPhone 12 Pro Max is running iOS 14.2?

Actually that is a good thing. I state because if majority of the software related issues can be resolved with a mere restart then why not? Restarting loads the iOS fresh and thus ignoring any issues that may have been developed over long term use of a particular software. The thought process here is that if an issue persists then report it to Apple however continue to restart, resolve the issue and continue to use the iPhone.

Same problem with both of our 2 iPhone Pros. The Force restart works once, then the next time you try to charge it, same problem, until you restart. Our 2 Qi chargers worked with our 11Pros😤

After the update to 14.2.1 I have two wireless Qi chargers that seem to not work now with my iPhone 12 Pro. They worked great in the past and now I get “optimized” message below...smh

I have been charging my iPhone 12 Pro with my Belkin Qi wireless charger and it is working perfectly. The only difference is the Qi charger will not charge as fast as the MagSafe charger from Apple. The Belkin is the same one that I was charging my iPhone 11 Pro until I picked up my iPhone 12 Pro on Friday.

Hi today after around oine week again it starts to not load with wireless charging. I have made a HW reset, then it has run but after half an hour again the same problem. I have iOS 14.2 installed and it is really strange that after so many days it starts again with not loading.

It seems to me, that it has to do also with the charge level of the battery. Mostly the problem began to rise, when I tried to load by wireless charging at a charge level of >95%.

I have the same problem here. Sometimes it works with loading and sometimes not. If I do a hardware reset, then it works again but after a while, the same problem again. Also after installing the update (iOS 14.2) the same problem. Can anybody give an advise how to solve this issue. I hope, that it is not a hardware issue......

Also on iOS 12.4 after around a week again just before again the same problem: when I was driving with my Tesla to a shop the wireless charging worked. when I tried to charge on the way back it didn‘t work anymore..........

There is nothing wrong with that message. That just means that optimized charging is working. If you wish to turn that off you can. Go to Settings>Battery>Battery Health>Optimized Battery Charging and turn it off if you wish. Mine does that every day, and works just fine. I use it on my wireless charger.

Hi. I have a similar issue. My iPhone 12 Pro does not fully charge using Qi wireless charging pad (7.5W) even if i leave it on there overnight.
