Why is my iPhone alarm so quiet?

On my iPhone 11 there seems to be this weird issue where my alarms are super quiet.

I even constantly adjusted and changed around the ringer and general volume settings.

Whenever I click on the alarm I want and it plays the preview, that preview is as loud as the ringer volume makes it, but when the alarm actually plays when the timer goes down, it’s super quiet.

Hey there harman51,

We'd like to help get the alarm volume working right, so let's start ruling out some possible causes:

  1. As the latest version for your iPhone model is iOS 14.1, please check to see if this is the version currently showing within Settings > General > About. If it's not up to date, we'd like to provide the next steps: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
  2. We understand that the alarm preview is at a good volume, but we'd like to confirm if the same issue occurs when adjusting the volume slider under Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringer and Alerts. If there are no issues with the sound when adjusting it, is the option 'Change with Buttons' enabled or disabled?
  3. Another thing we'd like to rule out is if Attention Aware is enabled, as certain things would cause the alarm volume to be lower when it's enabled. You can find this option within Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Attention Aware Features. For more details, we'd like to provide a resource About Attention Aware features on your iPhone X or iPad Pro.

We look forward to your next reply, and take care!
