Updating Apps form different Apple ID

When you have downloaded an App from the App Store in an Apple ID, and you completely change Apple IDs on your iPhone or ipad, why do you need to sign in again to the original Apple ID when updating that app?

You can't transfer purchases between Apple IDs, so your new Apple ID can't download purchases made with an older Apple ID. You can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.

Family Sharing.

Family Sharing - Set up.

Or you can delete the app(s) and download them again with your current Apple ID.
