After upgrade to Ios 14.1 bluetooth no longer works

I have an iphone 7 plus. I have been hanging off updating to ios 14 because of previous bugs with updates. Today I updated and I no longer have a working bluetooth ability. I have lost my fitbit (really annoying !) and can no longer see any of the other Apple devices (ipads and iphones) in the house. Also cannot see car audio. All I get is a spining area besides devices in the bluetooth section of settings. Turning bluetooth off and on, doing power offs and doing hard reset and reset network settings has not worked. Not good !

Hi there Sukje,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are not able to find or use any of your bluetooth accessories after updating to iOS 14. Have you already updated to iOS 14.1? If you go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn off Bluetooth and then turn it back on does it work? If you rename your iPhone in Settings > General > About > Name to something specific, like Sukje's iPhone 11, does that make any difference?

Working iphone just before upgrade from last ios13.

Upgrade ios13.x -> ios14.1 (I waited for the initial bug hits to subside )

now no bluetooth - just spinning bars.

Power off / power on multiple times, bluetooth off and on for different variants

Hard reset with bluetooth off.

Have now renamed phone - no luck as yet.

BTW none of the other apple devices in the house can see this phone, but can see each other.

Update - I followed resync procedure for my fitbit (when problem arose, fitbit app could not see fitbit dongle and no bluetooth devices visible from iphone).

After resync, which was successful, app can see and sync with fitbit device.

But in settings -> bluetooth from the iphone, there are no bluetooth devices and still left with spinning bars to right of devices in that setting.
