Side button glitch

Does anybody else have this issue or know a fix? I have an 11promax. The side button works to lock the phone, for Siri, and double click for app purchases, but it will not work for Apple Pay double click from a lock screen (just turns the screen on and off) or guided access triple click from within an app (just locks my screen). I have already updated to the most recent IOS, hard reset the iPhone, and made sure the Apple Pay option for double click from locked screen was selected and reset after toggling that off and then on again. Help please!
