Mail keep asking for password

My gmail account on the MAIL app asks for a password and 2 factor authentication everytime i use MAIL. How can I have it saved ?

I cannot create a new gmail email account because i can't authenticate. I changed my gmail password and it is working on my iPhone but not on my two macs. I am prompted to open the browser to authenticate but it does not go to an authentication site. I deleted the account from one mac but it won't let me create a new one without authentication. i can access the gmail via the web and from my iPhone so i know the password is up to date.

Outlook 365 is asking me to set up an app specific password every time I use it. Is there a way around that? I have 2 factor authentication turned on and cannot turn it back off. Outlook 365 is asking me to set up an app specific password to get my email from my mac ID email every time I use it. I can't send or receive email from that account without signing in to my apple ID. Plus there is a perpetual banner on my phone to please sign in to my apple ID in order to use Office 365/Outlook. Is there a way around this problem?

Make sure you delete any entries for the gmail account password in Keychain Access. Then, enter the password when requested.
