Airdropping videos from MAC to iphone

used iMOVIE to edit videos on my MAC BOOK PRO and when I try airdropping the video to my phone it does not let me.

Error: failed to save the video on iphone. Save to icloud drive instead?

Airdrop fails to share video from Macbookair to iPhone. Does anyone know how to easily and intuitively share video from a macbook to an iPhone? You would think this would be as easy as dragging and dropping. You'd be wrong. Airdrop isn't working at all. I get an error message on my phone: "Failed to save item. Save to iCloud Drive instead?" I switched from PC to Apple to avoid precisely this: waisting my time troubling devices.

Check to confirm that you have AirDrop enabled on both devices, no more than 30 feet apart, and enough space on your iPhone to receive the video.
