I see, in that case try signing gout of iMessage and FaceTime and signing back in.
- Go to Settings > Messages and turn off iMessage.
- Go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off FaceTime.
- Restart your device:
4. Turn iMessage and FaceTime back on.

Yes, have tried signing out of settings/name and restarting - still same problem, number valid for another 16 days now?
