Just got my new 12 pro and it is getting pretty hot while charging even while connected. On my Anker wireless charger which worked just fine for the XS I used before its even worse
Is it just me and I have a problem or is it a general issue and I should not worry too much
As someone else posted, I think this may be a “start-up” phenomenon with a new iPhone. My iPhone 12 mini was hot for the first day while it was revving up all the programs for the first time. Second day and onward, it cooled down and began to operate as expected, ie as iPhones usually do.
In other words, this seems to be a one-time event while initializing a new, more powerful iPhone.
Of course, if heating continues, you have a problem and need to get to an Apple store.
I have the same problemwith my iphone 12 pro max!!!!!!!!!!! The same!
after 80% it cools down.
but when I am not connected to wirelles and I use regular net it starts to warm up around camera!!!!

I just bought an iPone 12 mini and I have the same problem, I don`t think it`s ok.
Mine has gotten better after several days of cycle. It is not that hot anymore and just warm.

I just returned my iPhone 12 because it was making static sounds when plugged in the charger, and it would get very hot with little use. I ended up using the charger that came with my sisters iPad but it was no different. I know some people on here thought the charger could be the issue. I ended up returning it and this one seems to be much better. It did make a little sound when it plugged it into the charger at first but after a few minutes it went away. I left it on the charger over night and it wasn’t warm at all!
I just traded mine in. Don’t use the 20w block. Use the same charger and block for your old iPhone or get a 18w block. 20w is too much I just traded my 12 in for another one cuz it was getting hot charging
For me the initial problem went away after a day or so. So now on my Anker charger the phone heats up only slightly. However, in my car (BMW) the wireless charger heats up the phone so much that it sometimes shuts down. This was already the case for my previous iPhone XS, so I guess it's the charger not the phone.
It was most definitely shipped with a usb to usbc charger..... try again..
if you mean the charging brick then duhhhh. How else do you plan to charge your phone? Clearly need to buy one. It’s still the Apple brick.
