iOS operating systems

I have a mac book Pro using the High Sierra operating system. Have no issues. Is there a reason I should install a newer iOS system?

First, iOS is for iPhones. Macs use macOS. They are not the same. Second, upgrading will keep your computer current and will update security protections.
