Dead battery, not turning on.

My macbook airs battery has been dead since friday (last time i did online school) Last night it gave the the dead battery signal but the charger wasn’t charging it. I went to turn it on this morning and it is just a black screen, no dead battery symbol. I was wondering if after the battery being dead for a while the signal goes away and it’s just an issue with my charger. Please let me know.

That is possible.

Start with If your Mac battery won't charge - Apple Support.

If it still will not turn on, proceed with If your Mac doesn't turn on.

Read and follow each of its steps, including all the links within it, all the way through and including Step 4, which directs you to:

If your Mac starts up to a blank screen

Read and follow each of it steps also, all the way through and including the end, which takes you to:

"If you still need help, please contact Apple Support."

That's all you can do.
