macOS Catalina volume maxed out after closing the lid

After I close the lid the overall volume is maxed out both in headphones and speakers. Doesn't happen when I send the MacBook to sleep with lid open.

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2016, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) w/out Touch Bar.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Volume level reverts to full upon reboot. I am using MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 on a mac mini 2012. Every time I reboot my mac mini or it restarts due to power failure the volume level reverts to full. If I reboot the device the volume level remains the same, but if I shut it down, switch the power off ( unplug the power cable) the volume level reverts to full. I turned off the internet connection and the auto-update of time to off. After that set the time a few years back and shut it down then removed the power for a few minutes, seems like the time holds. How do I fix that?

catalina (10.15.7) sound volume control not working Hello. Just recently my sound volume control is not working. To be clear, it is the volume control -- both the keyboard control AND the audio control dialog. Sound comes out, the mute button works, and using the volume slider will mute the sound and turn it back on, but the volume will not change - sound is either on or off, but I can't change the volume. This is true for the internal speak as well as a connected bluetooth speaker. I'm no aware of any software update, nor does rebooting make any difference. One day it simply stopped working. This is a mac mini late 2012. Any ideas? Thanks

Macbook Air won't awake from sleep after Catalina install (thanks Apple) After updating to Catalina my macbook air won't wake from sleep. I've isolated the issue using safe mode, but can't work out how to fix the problem. It won't wake up when the lid is shut, but will when it's not shut. Any ideas what next?

Did you already try to reset the SMC and the NVRAM?

If this happens only after using 3rd party apps, that might be a reason.

Did you check the developers support pages, if other users have similar issues, using those apps?

Hey, I still have the same problem. But now it happens only after Skype or VOX player are launched. I also have Audio Hijack and sound flower installed. Need them for work. Can this happen because some of the programs might conflict for the audio channels?
