After updating to Catalina my macbook air won't wake from sleep. I've isolated the issue using safe mode, but can't work out how to fix the problem. It won't wake up when the lid is shut, but will when it's not shut. Any ideas what next?

If you've isolated the issue in Safe Mode, what were the results?
Also, I presume you're tried a PRAM reset (option-command-P-R as you reboot).
