Why doesn't Home Sharing Media checkbox remain checked and on Apple TV indicates need to turn on Home sharing?

If we understand correctly, the Apple TV says that you need to turn on Home Sharing on the computer. Since it is not recognizing the settings, see if the issue persists after restarting the Apple TV and the computer. Make sure you are using the Apple ID on both devices.
