MacBook Air randomly goes to sleep during zoom meetings

So when I'm in zoom in class, my computer would just randomly go to sleep. Zoom would close and I'd have to rejoin the meeting causing the host to constantly have to let me in again and again. I have tried many things, putting energy saver to never, constantly moving my mouse, using 3rd party apps to keep my computer on at all times, but none of these work. It is weird since every time it goes to sleep it does it at random intervals. Sometimes it would take like a whole half an hour for it to go to sleep and sometimes it would go to sleep 1 minute after I just turned it on. Please help.

I am using a MacBook Air 11 inch mid 2013 and I am on version 10.13.6

Hey!,

Thanks for using Apple Communities!

Sounds like you've got a MacBook Air that keep going to sleep on you during use. We don't want that to keep interrupting your class so let's see what we can do to resolve this for you.

First, let's get that Mac up to the latest version of macOS by following How to update the software on your Mac.

Make sure to secure a good backup via Time Machine or the method of your preference.

Let us know if the issue persists after that update.

Regards.
