wifi throuput in bootcamp is cut to around 20-25 Mbps

hi,

the point first: pls help me release my wifi throuput!

I got a iMac 2019. so unfortunately this pcie wifi card seems to have no older driver than 101.10.152.4 to let me rollback.

it seems to be the driver problem. probably because someone misconfigured the protocol to 802.11a, as shown below:

There are quite a few factors that determine the results of a Speed Test. Based on the Wireless connection, you have a 802.11a/11ac connection. 5GHz band attenuates much faster than 2.4GHz.

Does your access point have a dual-band radio?

Are you using Wireless mesh?

Here is an example of some tests on a 5G/2.4G dual-band network, using the same driver version you have. This is on a 100x100 Mbps connection.

Line-of-sight 802.11a/11ac. The 11a/11ac distinction is not significant.

Line-of-sight 802.11n 2.4G.

Non-LoS 802.11n 2.4G.

I will post a Non-LoS 11a/11ac shortly.

Hi Loner,

thanks for the illustration.

this problem really frustrates me. I even listened the first line apple care guys to reinstalled bootcamp which cost me a week to reinstall entire environment and got nothing helpful.

(by the way, this is very irresponsible and unprofessional suggestion to ask customer to do this just for saving support guys analyzing work. )

would you have any other ideal how can I solve this problem?

even when I use ac dongle, it goes normally, as following:

on the contrast, built-in wifi goes like this:

Re-installing Windows usually does not solve such issues.

Do you have a second Mac? If yes, we should try and use it as a sniffer and take a look at the packets over-the-air.
