5G connection in iPhone 12's

I am planning on buying the iPhone 12 Pro Max from the US (Sim-free version), but I will use it outside the US (in a country that has 5G). Does the iPhone 12 Pro Max have the same 5G connection in all versions (International, European, American...etc)? A friend of mine advised me that I get the iPhone 12 Pro Max from where I live (not the US) so it can adapt to the 5G network available here, however, if I buy it from the US, it won't adapt/activate the 5G network available here where I live. Kindly confirm whether the iPhone 12 Pro Max sold in the US is similar to any other iPhone 12 Pro Max (or any iPhone 12) sold in other countries when it comes to 5G network/connectivity.

Regards

No. iPhones manufactured for the US Market are NOT identical to those for other markets. Further, if you purchase iPhone in the US, iPhone warranty is NOT international. This means you will have NO warranty in your country and should something go amiss and the phone needs service or replacement, you will have to bring the phone back to the US.

It is ALWAYS best to purchase your phone in the country you live and will use it.
