AOC external monitor e1659fwu will not work with my Macbook Pro With USB C

I have a new MacBook Pro with USB C and the AOC monitor is not working, I download the drivers and nothing. Any ideas???

That is not a regular USB-C display.


It uses an un-accelerated software display buffer, and display data are sent out over slow USB-3. It uses DisplayLink software, which requires some compromises, which may or may not be important for your use. It may be very disappointing for full-motion Video.


The display maker thinks it is only a Windows device, and has no mention of MacOS in their manual. You may be able to get it to work anyway, by downloading DisplayLink software, available here:
