iPhone 12 Pro & 18w Charger (that came with 11 Pro)

Whilst I’m not overly fussed on fast charging, I’ve always been led to believe using the charger that came with your phone is best for longevity.

Whilst we don’t get one with years model, which is no biggie, will it be safe to use my 18w USB-C charger that came with my 11 Pro? I don’t want to ruin my battery. Or would it be safest to purchase a new 20w one?

Thank you.

The 20 watt will charge 10% faster to 80%. Probably not worth the investment. It is safe to use any Apple power source with any iOS device.* They are all cross-compatible. It’s also true for any MFI certified 3rd party device, but don’t use a brand X anything (charger or cable) with an iOS device—>Why Counterfeit Lightning Cables Kill iPhones - Motherboard

*However, if you try charge an iPad with a 5 watt cube from older iPhones it will take days to charge.
