I keep getting "logging out failed" on my old Mac, and my new Mac cannot find my old one

I got an upgrade from a 2015 MBA to a 2020 MBP and I'm trying to use migration assistant to transfer my data but I keep seeing the message "logging out failed." How do I fix this?

Migration Assistant trouble The Migration Assistant couldn't find my old MacBook so I continued on with the logging in process because I thought I would be able to go back and do the migration after. Can someone help me with this?
