Apple Pay not working with Clear Case

I have the 12 Pro with the Clear Case and am unable to use Apple Pay without taking the Clear Case off, which is not easy.

Closing down works OK if I push hard with a finger nail.

Am somewhat disappointed as I have never had this problem before with Phone cases.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Then after a while I got an off brand magnetic removable wallet case and both times, within days, apple pay wouldn’t work whether it was inside the case or not I’ve now got a new iPhone and want to get a similar case but I don’t want to lose the apple pay function as I hardly carry a wallet anymore

Apple Pay says hold closer My IPhone 7 is on 13.3 and Apple Pay isn’t working. I added another card thinking that was the issue. The thumb recognition comes up ready to take thumb print then says hold closer. Will not work. Anyone else had this and found a fix? Or any ideas 💡

The buttons are very hard to push with that clear case.

I'm changing my order to remove it from mine.
