I’m trying to switch service providers for my iPhone 8 Plus but the new service is saying the SIM card is not supported. I went to Best Buy and both the old carrier and the new and no one can make my phone work. It says the SIM card is not supported and to contact apple. Can someone help me

It is not an unlocked phone. Since you say you went to Best Buy, I'm guessing that you made your purchase there. If so, Best Buy does not sell unlocked phones. Their phones they claim are unlocked will lock to the first carrier that you use.
The carrier to which the phone is locked is the only one that can unlock it. Call them back.
