My Apple Watch 4 no longer unlocks my iMac and Watch faces don't show up on app

2 main Watch problems.

First:

Currently have WatchOS 7.0.2, iOS 14.1, and MacOS Mojave (version 10.14.6) on my 2017 Retina 5k iMac and just noticed my Watch no longer unlocks my iMac. When I check the box "Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac" it says turning on but then an error message pops up saying "Your Mac was unable to communicate with your Apple Watch. Make sure your Apple Watch is unlocked, on your wrist, and powered on." which is all true but still not working.

Second problem:

I noticed the Watch app no longer lists my watch faces! Very frustrating. Workaround is that I can still add and edit the faces on my Watch directly, but not ideal.

I also found that it took awhile for the iCloud Keychain records to propagate and merge on all the systems. More so when you have multiple devices sharing the keychain (I have 4 Macs, the iPhone, and the Apple Watch). I followed both of the above threads, but it was not reliably working until the next day, when I tried again. And I did have to click the enable check box twice the next day, but then it stuck.
