I had a power outage, I got the internet back, my iMac says that it is connected both by Ethernet and wifi, but I can’t seem to use the internet, does anyone have some suggestions for making my iMac work again?

Sometime you need to power-cycle the router and/or modem after a power outage. Check with your provider, but the usual method is to turn off all device connected to the network, then unplug the modem and/or router. Using the modem's on/off switch does not work for a power-cycle.

Wait about 30 seconds before replugging the device. Turn connected devices on. You'll need to wait again for the model to finish its handshaking with the servers and be ready to use.
