Not able to open garage door or turn on lights via watch. I can see the garage door and lights on watch, click to open / close garage door or turn on / off lights and nothing happens. If I follow the same steps on phone, all works without issue. Why am I having these issues?

Well, after a bit of trial and error, I realized you need to press the garage door open button once to engage and then again to actually open. Little different than the app on my phone. On that, you simply press once.

This past weekend my Wife and I added the MyQ Chamberlain Garage Door Opener to our home, and the Apple Watch app worked fine. Went a mile away and closed the garage door (making sure I was not on WiFi).
Thanks so much for the reply. Appears you have a watch with cellular capabilities - I do as well. To test the theory, I turned off WiFi and made sure cellular was connected. Tried to open garage door via watch and got nothing. Wishing I could wave magic wand.
No. My Series 4 is a GPS only Apple Watch. The Apple Watch was using my iPhone (sitting in my pocket) to connect to the Internet and close my garage door, which my Wife immediately messaged me that it worked.
