Spam Text Notifications on Apple Watch

We understand that you're having an issue with receiving all notifications for text messages, though you have it set to mirror your iPhone and have those turned off. We definitely want to help! This does not work.

On the iPhone, under Settings->Messages->(Message Filtering) Unknown & Spam, we turn on Filter Unknown Senders. This works perfectly on the iPhone as iMessage now has Categories like All Messages, Known Senders and Unknown Senders. We no longer receive notification when a message from an unknown sender comes in. Unfortunately Apple Watch allows the spam messages to go through and buzz the watch every time a spam message comes in.

How can we block all these spam messages from unknown sources on the Apple Watch?

You cannot stop the spam from the watch until Apple allows a third party app like RoboKiller FOR THE WATCH!!

Spammers are sending me text messages that are filtered on my iPhone but my Apple 6 watch alerts me for each spam message -- very annoying. HELP!

Been having the same issue immediately after getting my watch. Why hasn’t this been fixed? I get way too much spam for this to be going on.

I'm experiencing this issue as well. Third-party apps _are not required_ for filtering junk texts on the iPhone... "Mirror my phone" should actually mirror the phone, but it doesn't.

I’m having the same issue. I don’t get spam notifications on my iPhone at all, because they’re filtered, but my Apple Watch still gets notifications from spam, which is then not on my phone notifications center, resulting in confusion every time. Please fix this.

Apple, please fix this. I was able to get e-mail to SMS messages automatically sent to "Junk" (no thanks to Apple -- I had to buy a third party app for this), but notifications still go to my watch. Please, make it stop!

I was at sea a quarter mile from shore & I received two X-rated text messages on my I-watch. When I got home the messages were not on my phone. This is quite annoying. How do I stop this?

This solution is not valid. Apple Watch Notification settings for Messages app only has 2 options.: “Mirror my iPhone” or “Custom”. Custom settings do not include a spam/junk filter. Agree with other users here that allowing spam/junk filters to work on Apple Watch is a desired feature.

This does not work - you either have to block all notifications or "mirror the phone" which allows junk text messages to send notifications to the watch even though they are blocked on the phone! EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!
