Deleting Mov files

I see when I connect my phone to my lap top to down load photos each photo has a Mov file and a JPEG file associated with each photo. Is there a way to delete the Mov files all at once and keep the JPEJ files for each photo? Thanks

Photos I have a question about what you can safely delete from the Imports list in Photos on an iMac. If you save an imported photo (from the phone) on the iMac within a folder in Photos, I thought you could then delete it from the Imports list. But I did that just now, and it also deleted the photo from the folder. If I save it to a folder outside of Photos in Documents, it will stay even if I delete it from Imports list. I find it hard to believe that I would have to keep every photo I ever imported unless I make a new folder outside of Photos to save them in. Along with this, I guess I should also ask when deleting a photo on the Mac will also delete the same photo on the phone.

What is a finder window? What is a finder window I am trying to down load photos from my I phone to my Mac I want to then delete the photos from my phone

Sounds like you have Live Photo turned on permanently.

Use Photos import and then edit each one as per the discussion below

Then turn off Live photo by

Settings, Camera, Preserve Settings

then turn the Live Photos option ON

Turn on camera and turn Live Photos OFF
