Unformatted disk partition macOS Sierra

Hi I was wanting to know if anyone could help me with this problem when I was trying to remove a partition but then when I removed it a unformatted partition appeared and it was pretty much locked down I couldn’t do anything with it even if I tried to erase my main drive it would just display an error. I have a MacBook Pro early 2011.

Then, I've installed Windows 10 through Boot Camp and then erased the partition. Please do not tell me to just run First Aid in Disk Utility. I've already done it. How to delete partition? The minus button greyed out Hi Team, I have a problem on my macbook (retina, 12-inch, early 2016, running High sierra). There are two partitions I cannot remove from disk utility, the minus button greyed out. What I can do to restore back to single partition 250G? Thanks. Daniel

Reinstalling MacOS High Sierra After formatting and deleting Macintosh HD on my Mac, I tried to reinstall macOS High Sierra and it said it "couldn't find a preebot for the apffs" I learned that creating a partition in the disk can fix the preboot problem. Now, Im trying to create a partition and this pops up. "Applying chamges to "name of the disk" operation failed...". And on the details it says couldn't unmount disk. Help please.

Yes I know and I also said in my previous post that the MacOS Sierra Volume is not mounted.

Highlight MacOS Sierra and click on the Mount button. If it Mounts then you should

be able to go back to highlighting Hitachi HT........ and then see if you can Erase it.

From your screenshots the Volume macOS Sierra is greyed out.

Highlight it and then click on the Mount button.

If you erase the Hitachi disk you will erase everything on that disk

is that what you want to do you will lose all your data.

Before erasing your disk completely have you got a copy of the OS on a bootable USB stick,

I would not rely on Apples Recovery Servers.

Yes I have a back up but when I try to format the Hitachi disk I get an error message

for Some reason it was APFS so I used a Mac is high Sierra bootable installer because I was on Sierra
