How do I remove iOS 14.2 beta when all backups are done with the iOS 14.2 beta software?

OK...so here's the deal. I assume my new iPhone 12 Pro Max will be coming with iOS 14.1 software installed. My beta is iOS 14.2, which means all of my backups are with BETA software.

I know the way to remove the beta is to RESTORE the iPhone, however once I do that I am under the impression that I cannot use my backups...in other words, I can't restore a beta software to a public released final version...

Am I missing something here?

What you are likely missing is that prior to enrolling in iOS beta software.. you are supposed to archive a backup

you can't make a backup in newer iOS and expect it to be able to restore to older iOS

This archived backup would be set aside in case you need to get out of iOS software. Sure you might lose some data, but better than going back to square 1. (if this isn't an acceptable risk, you shouldn't be running iOS beta)

So you if you want your new iPhone 12 to be in the state of your current iPhone..

you'll need to update the iPhone 12 to the same beta version you are using now (or newer). Then after the software is updated on the iPhone 12, restore it from the backup of your current iPhone.
