Plantronics V5200 Issue with iPhone 12 Pro

Just switched to the iPhone 12 Pro, and my Plantronics V5200 headset (which worked fine with my old iPhone 8 on iOS 14) will pair and connect, but will not automatically re-connect after the headset has been turned off. I've tried restarting the phone and I've tried resetting the headset, but it still has to be manually re-connected (I don't have to re-pair, but I have to go into Settings and tell it to connect). Any ideas?

Hey there, NRRIndy,

We understand that even though your Plantronics V5200 headset is paired with your new iPhone 12, it needs to be manually connected each time.

Typically, the reconnection occurs on the Bluetooth accessory side, rather than the iPhone.

When you go to use the headset, is it within a close range of the iPhone? If it's far away fro the phone when it's powered on, that could explain the behavior.

Do you have another Bluetooth accessory connected to your iPhone? If so, does this one reconnect automatically?

We know that you have already reset both the iPhone and the headset, but have you also checked for any type of firmware updates?

Have a good day!
