iPhone 12 not receiving group texts

I am having the same problem. I'm running Verizon electronic SIM, and AT&T physical SIM on an iphone 12 pro. I miss text messages on both. Additionally, data to my Microsoft authenticator app does not appear to go through, so I cannot login to Teams and other microsoft Apps. Very frustrated with Apple, and I have always been a fan. If they don't fix this, I HAVE to switch.

I’m a program director and I send out single text and group text daily. I can’t tell you how many people are calling me to tell me they are not receiving my text.

I use Verizon if that matters.

We need a fix!

As an exclusive Apple customer and iPhone user for 10+ years it’s exceptionally frustrating to now have this same problem. Purchased an iPhone 12 Pro Max and have not been able receive text messages from non-iPhone users since upgrading and this is clearly a rather widespread issue.

Yes, Dinaj15, I also have the same additional issue as you. Sometimes, incoming iMessages that show up on my iPad don't show up on my iPhone at the same time. Eventually those wayward iMessages do arrive on my iPhone, but it's usually 4-8 hours later!

Oh boo hoo. Cry us a river because no one cares. Especially Apple because they already have your money. Given how 2020 has been, I think there are bigger things to worry about rather than d comparatively minor text message issue. Give us a break.

I'm not being snotty, I'm stating facts. Your suggestion is akin to telling someone to flip a breaker in their home fuse box because their car is having an issue. One has nothing to do with the other. As you said, you're not an IT person so you don't know what you're talking about and you should leave the suggestions to those that do.

Lol ok - I worked this out with someone from apple and it worked for me. I now receive all my messages and everything is good, it may not work for everyone but it might work for someone else as it did for me - but that’s what helping is. I came from an android, which may have had something to do with it as well.

but you’re right, I am but a meager peasant in the company of tech royalty. Though I bare solutions, it must be from the dark wizardry of the lower class and cannot be entertained in the court of apple troubleshooting, bourgeoisie.

I’ll take my solutions and my relentlessly accurate and well timed reception of all text messages and see myself out.

You were indeed treated rudely by one person on this forum, but I hope you won't treat his/her view as a consensus of all of us. Well smart guy, seeing as any competent adult relies on the receipt of text messages to complete two factor authentication at any website or app used for banking, retirement accounts, email, or apps for remote work, I’d say it’s actually quite a significant issue. Pat yourself on the back for an attempted (but failed) smug remark and troll elsewhere.

Ever since I upgraded my 8 plus to the 12 mini I haven’t been able to get my Gmail to work no sms to come thru to reset password the Facebook text messages didn’t transfer over fro iCloud and I have Att I have battle wound from battling with apple and att they just keep telling do a iCloud back up then do factory reset and everything will restore! Going on two 1/2 weeks and nothin has changed yet

I have noticed that I do not get texts from any device that is not an iPhone! I am unable to get 2 step verification texts, messages from android phones and who knows how much more!!

Do you happen to know what call fixed this issue? I spent over 2 hours at my provider (at&t) and nothing solved the issue :( I have had the 12 pro max for 3 days and this problem is driving me crazy!

If you recently purchased a iphone 12 and are having trouble rec txt msgs like not rec them at all at certain times try this. Open the apple store on your phone and login. Look for your old device in the device list in your apple account..DELETE IT..REBOOT.

I don’t have any other phones on my cloud account. In the last two days, I did not get a text from an android user, and one text o sent to a different android user never was received. These were not group texts. I’ve had this phone for 3 months and this intermittent problem is frustrating for a product of this price and alleged quality.

I too am having the same issue. I have the 11 pro max and 12 pro max both active thankfully so I don’t loose jobs due to the fact I don’t receive texts from many clients family etc. but it really kinda sucks to have to keep a separate number active on my old device as a work around. Where and when does this get fixed cause it’s actually not only costing me money it’s LOOSING ME EVEN MORE!
