Hi,
I'm on 10.15.7 and my mail tool has started to give me problems.
It keeps going offline, won't connect and now has basically ground to a halt.
My mail boxes are rather large which may be the problem
Could someone possibly give men some advice on this problem?

If sending from iCloud mail check the Apple Status Report
I have re-build my mail boxes and downloaded everything from yahoo gmail and iCloud.
The problem seems to be when sending an email particularly with attachments. It is very very slow to send and just seems to hang
I called Apple Support and as usual they were totally awesome!
It turns out that malware had changed my network proxy settings and had checked SOCKS proxy.
Unchecked it and emails works great!
Also ran malware scanner https://www.malwarebytes.com/lp/sem/en/mac/index.html which found several malware and adware installed on my MacBook.
