Wireless CarPlay on GM Vehicle

I have a 2021 Chevy Tahoe which has wireless AppleCarPlay (about time). Currently I have a data plan on the vehicle but I do not plan to continue it. I have 2 questions regarding this. 1) will my wireless CarPlay connection continue to work after the data plan goes away (I would assume yes). 2) once the data plan goes away, will my phone think the wireless connection to the vehicle is my internet source and not be able to get internet data via my cell service?
