Bad connection between Beltone Trust hearing aide and IPhone 12

When either on a phone conversation or listening to music through my hearing aides, the sound intermittently jumps back and forth between both ears and sometimes receive some sound distortion. Very difficult to hear clearly. I have reloaded Beltone HearMax app multiple times and played around with the settings. Any help?

Airmama ~ "Apple is aware of this issue and will provide a fix in a future software update." Source:

If your Made for iPhone hearing device has sound quality issues when connected to an iPhone 12 model

...Also:

"I have been in contact with Apple and they said they are getting closer to a fix. Until then I was told to go into settings - accessibility - Hearing Devices - top item, MFI hearing devices - Uncheck “Stream to left hearing device”. Do this until we get an update fix. I have not had the static noise since I did this. You will only hear with your right hearing aid until it is fixed." [Source]

Well, I can't speak to your specific situation, of course. It's possible that there is some issue with your hearing aids. But, at least in my situation, that doesn't seem to be the case. My hearing aids work perfectly when they're connected to my iPad, and they were great with my iPhone XS less than two weeks ago. But as soon as I connect them to my iPhone 12 Pro, the trouble starts. Also, I found another post here with other people, even with other brands of hearing aids, having similar issues. I spoke with Apple again a couple of days ago, and, while he didn't have any solid information about a timeline for a fix, he did say that the "higher ups" (Who he put me on hold to speak with...) are aware of it, and that a fix will be coming with a iOS update sometime down the line. Fingers crossed it's sooner than later. I'll definitely be checking daily for any software updates and reading the notes for them to see if they finally figured it out!

Quick update: I spoke to the Apple representative I've been in touch with for the last couple of days, and he didn't have any additional information this evening, but we've scheduled another follow-up call for Monday evening of next week to see if there have been any updates or changes. Also, I spoke to a local Beltone representative (The one who actually set me up with my hearing aids, if I'm not mistaken.), and he said he'd look into it as well, but I haven't heard back from him yet. It seems like the ball is in Beltone's court as far as I can tell. Maybe a fix will come with the next update of their HearMax app or the next iOS update?

Same here with my iPhone 12 Pro. I've spoken with Apple, who hasn't been able to isolate a problem, but I sent Beltone a message through their website and was contacted almost immediately. The rep said that they haven't yet "certified" the iPhone 12, but to wait it out and that it will happen eventually and solve the problem. I'll be talking with an Apple rep again this evening, so I'll see what he might know about the situation from their end.

I have now noticed that my right hearing aide is working fine with my IPhone 12 by itself, as long as I leave my left hearing aide out. Once i add the left hearing aide, cutting in and out in the left ear begins.

So, I really don’t think it’s the iPhone. I did send both hearing aides in to Beltone for a repair. This didn’t change anything. It has to be a faulty left hearing aide, don’t you think?

The fix has just come out:

iOS 14.2.1 addresses the following issues for your iPhone:
Some MMS messages may not be received
Made for iPhone hearing devices could have sound quality issues when listening to audio from iPhone
Lock Screen could become unresponsive on iPhone 12 mini
