Many (maybe most) iPhone buyers already have a charger with cable, or a Mac with USB-C that can be used for charging. For these customers the charger would be a waste, and the needed bigger box would increase shipping costs. Including the charger would mean a price increase for these users. To help others, Apple has reduced some charger prices.

I recently received the I-Phone 11. It had no charging block either; however, when they first came out they came with the block and the ear buds. I went to the local Verizon store because that is the service I use and they practically told me I did not have an I-phone 11 that I must have an I-phone 12 because the Iphone-11's had the block with them.

I can understand if the company wants to save money or attempt to decrease the rate of shipping, but please give us a little credit. This has nothing to do with helping the customer with decreasing the price of the phone, that has not happened. It also has nothing to do with the environment. It is for the company to make more money off the customer.

Suggestion: If you are going to send a person a phone with no charging block at least do not make it the first generation with that type of charging block and make sure your distributors know so they do not attempt to make you customers look foolish only to verify they have not be educated on the change, which might I add, was not smart seeing the I-phone 11 is the first I phone with this type of block.
