Hi guys really need help on this ，so I was watching YouTube and suddenly my MacBook shuts off and flashing question mark folder, did some research and start my Mac by holding comm,option,r keys went into disk utility, this is where I am stuck !!!!! It only shows macOS base system I can press first aid, partition but won’t allow my to erase WHAT DO I DO NOW? Thanks

Within Disk Utility click on "View" and select "Show All Devices". Does the physical drive show up on the left pane of Disk Utility? If not, then the drive has most likely failed and needs to be replaced.

Thanks I was thinking the same thing the hardware might need to be replaced , in the show all device only Mac OS base system is showing. There is also a recall at apple for 13inch MacBook Pro 2017-2018 solid state drive , but I entered my serial number not eligible for that. Thanks for the help.
