How do you fix or restore the iPad to recognize your thumb for all the passwords it always recognize before and now doesn’t?

Newly set passcode not working I can unlock my iphone by using thumb but not using the newly reset passcode. Please advise.

If you fingerprint is no longer recognised, simply re-register a new (or ideally multiple) fingerprints - before deleting the previously registered print.
