Group iMessage

If an attachment is deleted in a group iMessage, does it delete it for everyone involved in the conversation?

If you delete an attachment sent to the group then it is deleted only for you. The reset of the group will maintain the attachment on their iPhones and Message app.

There's an option to delete a message, but it doesn't clarify whether it's deleting the message from the conversation or just for you to free up some space. Considering how you could delete others' messages in a group chat I'd imagine it'll just delete it from your end… or are we able to delete others' messages for themselves (and for rest of a group members) as well?
