Hi, I want to know if screen sharing through messages app is secure. I can only find things about screen sharing with system preferences -> sharing, but that’s different. I mean with the messages (imessage?) app, one can ask to share, the other can accept.
is this encrypted? If partly; which parts?

Screen Sharing is Screen Sharing. It doesn't matter which method is used to invoke screen sharing.
However, I couldn't find anything about the request/auth being encrypted or not, if that is the concern.
Once connected, it is secure.
The initiation I don't know, but imagine it is also encrypted.

i still can’t figure out of: screen sharing mac to mac, via messages (both using apple ID) is encrypted by default. If keystrokes, mouse movements ánd visual image are secure and only visible for the 2 mac users.
The initiation is the one Mac contacting the other Mac saying, "hey, this is Bob's Mac and I want to view your screen."
I don't know if that part is encrypted, nor do I know the specific information that is being communicated in that initiation process.
