Do the MagSafe covers fit so they are slightly higher than the screen so you can put the phone facedown?

So i have a new 12 Pro coming and of course want a case for it. All my other iPhones i have cases that just slightly are higher at the front so you can place the phone face down on a desk, table etc and not worry about the screen touching the surface. Is the new MagSafe cover like this or does it just go even with the screen so if placed screen down it sits on the glass and not the small edges of the cover? I hate having my screen facing up, nobody needs to see my incoming calls and messages at work etc. Thanks.
