iPhone 12 Pro camera reflection in photos

How about this? As you see, the image of the string lights is reflected up in the sky part of the picture... will Apple do something about this?

Im getting the same issues and it’s not okay. This kind of pictures are not desirable. I had also called the customer care but they had not much clarity on the issue and I might want to exchange or return the phone. This doesn’t seem to be a normal flare though!!! ☹️

I was told that it was a lens flare, but this is a reflection of my entire camera array. And the rocks in the foreground were NOT a reflective surface. Granted, this is taken directly facing into the sun, but there is no way this is a lens flare. Just my guess is that there is a diffusion layer missing somewhere in the camera array.

I have got the iPhone 12 Pro and I have this issue too it happens indoors and outdoors in light and dark conditions and when I am on the camera if i move the camera around near a light it shows strange beams of light which aren't there too

they have tan all sorts of diagnostics and screen sharing a to see the issue etc and they have suggested that as I’ve only had the phone for one week that I ask Vodafone for a replacement phone, they can’t seem to see any reason why this would be happening

Facing same issue i.e camera flare. If everyone is not facing it, it can be a hardware issue.

I am going to apple care this weekend, to get it checked. Lets hope they fix it.

Support person from apple, suggested to do a backup and restore to fix this.

I myself just purchased an Iphone 12 Pro 2 days ago and noticed this when taking a pic. I thought it was only me until i googled and saw this forum. My camera lens has two different set of flares as they call them and looks horrific. Let me know what they are saying going to schedule an appt with apple to hopefully resolve this issue.

So pretty much we have to deal with it? i’m just trying to understand like if enough people say something they can fix it, but if your saying it’s not possible at all to fix it i won’t bother. Thanks for the heads up appreciate it.

Yes, it's normal for all premium smartphone cameras.

I’m on the phone to apple at the minute so we shall see what they say, do you also get the smears of light around light sources?

It’s funny you mentioned this because I see the same thing as well with iPhone 12 Pro Max.
