trouble using icloud web browser access

I am trying to look at my email from a chromebook web browser on apple icloud email and when I try to login I get "Connection error". I can certainly login here with same LI/PW/two factor. This is frustrating, my gmail is flawless.

impossible to add Gmail to Mail I had gmail under mail until yesterday but again it did not work properly=> I deleted gmail and then wanted to reinstall gmail - NO WAY ... wether by + or preferences and choosing gmail I only get an attempt to open gmail and nothing happens. The "search" continues for ever without any result. I opened gmail under chrome as it said "open in browser" but still no way; thanks, Jenny

Can you try from another browser?
