Infopick redirects are suddenly appearing when I enter a url in my subject bar

For the past three day I've suddenly contracted the Infopick.com virus that redirects url's entered into my Safari subject bar. I'm running Ublock and Adblocker Plus and until recently both were doing a great job.

I'm on a 2105 MacBook Pro Retina and am running High Safari 10.13.6. I've checked for suspicious Applications as well as cookies and have found none. Infopick also doesn't appear in my Library folder.

How to delete this bothersome virus?

I downloaded and ran etrecheck and it found something under Launch Daemons called: com.apadecoded.plist. I was advised to drag this to the trash and not drag anything else in the Launch Daemon folder, then restart the computer. I did so and will soon find out if this solved the problem. I appreciate your advice, JTF, and will post if this solved the problem.

Thank you JTF. My mistake on the virus misnomer.

Not sure I understand how Ublock or Adblock Plus could be the source as I've been using them for at least four years with no such issues. Not to dispute your claim... but why would either be the source of the problem if they weren't in the past 4+ years? I suspect it was something I downloaded, without being aware of the malware. I've read that infopick masquerades under different names so as to make it hard to find. I don't see anything abnormal in my aps or cookies so my post was about how to get rid of it? I'll try your suggestion on etrecheck and report back with the results.

I appreciate your quick answer as this is maddening.

to be clear, there are no viruses on mac. redirects are usually caused by malware, which is user installed. as far as Ublock and Adblocker plus, i would remove the both of them. they are likely causing problems as well. you can save us time by downloading etrecheck, (app store or etrecheck.com) and running it. be sure to "allow full disk access" to etrecheck, then post the report here. it may expose why you are getting the redirects.
