Lost Notes

Yesterday Verizon had me delete my server and reinstate it because I kept having a pop up say “can not verify server imap. Outlook” and now all of my notes that weren’t stored in the cloud are gone! I have some vital info there. I didn’t “delete” them so where are they?

If you were not using iCloud, or were not storing the Notes on the iPhone, my guess is that you were storing in an email account. That would be where you need to check. If it was your Outlook account, after you create the account again, then check Settings to turn Notes on again.

Who said to refresh? I would say that it depends on the context of the rest of the statement. Generally, when you remove an account and then add it back, all of the content returns. However, if they have stopped handling Notes, I'm not sure how it would have handled that except to lose them. I know this is late news, but I would use iCloud for Notes and that will keep them synced with all of your devices. There had been an issue with servers with Microsoft and people were advised to contact Microsoft.
