Apple Trade-in System Misidentifies my iMac

I have an iMac I'd like to trade in but when I go through the trade-in process by putting in my serial number it comes up with the wrong response. It identifies the machine more or less correctly but it thinks I have the standard RAM and hard drive but I do not. I have 32 GB RAM and a 3T hard drive. Shouldn't that increase the trade-in value? What can I do? (There is no certified Apple dealer locally--I need to do it remotely either online or by phone.)

Were those upgrades ordered at the time of purchase?

If not, then those upgrades do not count and you would be better off selling it on your own than trading it in.
