I have recently installed iOS 14.1 on my iPhone 8 Plus. I now get a request in Settings to re-enter my Apple id password. When I do so I get a message "Verification Failed. An unknown error occurred." My password works perfectly well on my iMac, so clearly I haven't forgotten it. I suspect this is a bug in iOS 14.1. Does anyone else have this problem?

Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.
