Has the junk mail filter become more sensitive?

Work emails, bill notifications and personal emails are now being filtered as junk. I have noticed anything that includes more than one recipient is being filtered as junk. I have move items from junk to my inbox but I still seem to miss items in the junk box. I still have to sift through 60 or so junk mails in the inbox and then now sift through junk for important stuff. Will marking the recipient as a VIP make it go to the inbox? Thanks
